10 Things of Thankful

Ten Things of Thankful

1. The Hubs - who probably deserves his own list of 10 reasons :)

2. The Peanut "reading" to himself. It is adorable to watch him recite his favorite book.

3. The enthusiasm of the Peanut, everything is amazing and wonderful (or utterly terrible).

4. The giant smile the Squirrel gives me when I get her from her crib.

5. Wading pools - hours of entertainment right on our deck

6. My washing machine - it is a workhorse and I love it!

7. Cheese! The upside of formula is I am able to have all food groups in my diet again.

8. Streaming Netflix - no commercials trying to sell things to Peanut & he only sees shows that I can tolerate.

9. Massages. Getting the crazy knots out feels so nice, even if I feel them returning as I type.

10. Clean, safe water on tap. Seems like a cheat but clean water is totally amazing and I know I generally don't stop to think about what it would be like to not have it.

  1. Ah, I love a good massage. Great list! And I don't think clean, safe water on tap is a cheat - we ARE lucky and that's a great thankful.

  3. Hey this is a fab list, and the water's not a cheat at all - I think in the 14 lists I've made so far, clean water's featured at least twice!

I never knew that Netlfix did shows without ads - that's really handy. What a smart way outta that particular trap :)

Thank you so much for linking up with us :) Hope you manage to get rid of those muscle knots again soon.

  4. Oh, how I enjoy a deep tissue massage! I haven't had one in a long time. Need to get that on the schedule.

When the big kids were little, we practically lived in the wading pool in the backyard. Perfect way to cool off in the summer when kids aren't old enough to actually swim.

Aw, little ones reading on their own is so stinking cute, and a testament to how you are instilling a love of reading in your children. Nice work!

Thanks for linking up with us!

  5. again with the cheese!!! (lol...late Sunday afternoon silliness)

I called out another person this weekend on the 'cheese issue'* I have not gone back to read if there was a Reply (smart money is hoping for a 'not') lol

*well, there is... and very under-rated.

  6. My kids used to "read" books, too. Have you captured the moment on video? It might be fun to look back on years from now.

    1. I have captured it! I had to be so sneaky if Peanut sees me with a camera he stops all adorable behavior.

  7. I love this list. My wash machine is older than I and is wonderful!! lol. Clean water is something to be very thankful for!

  8. My son used to "read" to himself in the car when I commuted to work (which I did until he was 2). I would occasionally look at the car sitting next to us in the traffic jam on the LA freeway to see the other driver laughing at my son, legs crossed, binky in his mouth, "reading" away.

Clean water is not to be taken lightly! I have friends living in Haiti that have taught me not to take it for granted.

  9. Hello Hello! Stopping over from the TToT blog hop. I know its about... *checks watch* OH.... a few minutes past, but they always say: Better late than tripping down some stairs in a rush and breaking your neck!*

Great list, I agree it may be nice to record your lil one reading. It may make for a great memory to share on occasion. Also record the embarrassing stuff too! Just for the sake of black mail when they begin acting out as a teen.

    You're welcome ;-)

I'm a huge lover of cheese! I probably shouldn't eat so much, but I love it on everything.

Also, considering your blog title (which I love, by the way...) I thought I would share this post of mine from about... 3 weeks ago or so:

    Generation Jak

Great to see you joining the blog hop and hope you continue to link up!

*Actually this may only be something Clark says.
